BarlaPost 1.1: scheduling queue, social inbox, Pro plan, and much more

BarlaPost 1.1 is out on both stores. It is the result of the six weeks since launch, almost all of it shaped by what the first users actually ran into. Some of it is new territory; a lot of it is the app doing what it already promised, properly.

Posting-time queue

Setting a schedule used to mean picking a time by hand for every post. BarlaPost now lets you define when during the week you want posts to go out — Monday at 9:00, Wednesday at 12:00, Friday at 17:00, whatever suits your audience — and choosing "Next free slot" fills in the right time automatically. The queue sits on Settings → Posting schedule, and the composer shows the upcoming slots as chips so you can confirm what you're booking before you schedule.

Posting times belong to the workspace, so every account you manage shares the same rhythm. The calendar view has always shown your scheduled posts; now the slots that are free show up too.

Repeating posts

A post can now repeat weekly or monthly, up to a year out. Each copy is its own scheduled post with its own status, so one that fails does not take the series down. The calendar shows every copy; tapping Delete on any one asks whether to cancel just that post or the whole series.

Social inbox

Replies, mentions, and direct messages from connected accounts now arrive in the app. The inbox is sorted by unread first; tapping any message opens the full thread. Replying from the app works on Bluesky, Mastodon, and YouTube. The bell in the top right shows the unread count and leads to a notification history that covers everything the app has ever sent — including events from times when your phone was off or quiet hours were on.

Pinterest and DEV.to, now live

Pinterest is a live publish target in 1.1.0. Each post becomes a Pin on a board you pick: photos go as image Pins, videos as video Pins. Pinterest's Standard API access was approved on 2 October 2026.

DEV.to shipped in a silent update in October. Connect with your DEV API key; each post becomes a DEV article, with the first photo as the cover and the first line (or a title you type) as the article title. Tags you add in the composer go to DEV's own tagging system.

Both targets are in the app now, no update needed.

TikTok posts are now public

TikTok's Direct Post content audit was approved on 13 October 2026. Posts sent to TikTok through BarlaPost are now visible to your followers, not just to yourself.

Ideas board

The app now has an ideas board — a place to keep captions, photos, and notes that are not ready to schedule yet. Each idea can be promoted to a draft or sent straight to the composer. You can group ideas, attach photos, and tag them with a content category.

Post templates

Save any caption (and first-comment text) as a named template. Templates show up in the composer as a starting point: pick one and it drops into the caption field, ready to edit. Useful for recurring formats like a weekly roundup or a product launch announcement.

Calendar notes and public holidays

The calendar now shows two new layers alongside scheduled posts: notes you write yourself (a reminder, a campaign start date, any annotation you want), and public holidays for your country. Holidays use the phone's locale and are pulled from a live source, so Ramadan, Eid, and shifting dates land on the right days each year.

Content categories

You can now tag each post with a category — Weekly Roundup, Product Update, Blog Promotion, or anything you name. Categories show as a filter pill on the calendar and in the scheduled list, so a busy week can be narrowed to one kind of content at a glance.

Per-account send times

When you want one post to hit LinkedIn at 9:00 and Bluesky at 17:00 on the same day, the composer now lets you set a separate time for each account. The main scheduled time on the calendar is the earliest of the batch.

Quiet hours

The app now has a quiet hours setting. During the window you set, push notifications are held back. Everything still reaches the notification history, and in-app alerts are unaffected — it is only the push that waits.

BarlaPost Pro

BarlaPost now has two plans:

  • **Free**: up to 3 connected accounts, up to 10 scheduled posts at a time.
  • **Pro**: up to 10 connected accounts, unlimited scheduled posts, access to X (which bills BarlaPost per post), and repeating posts.

Pro is not yet available to purchase through the app or the website. It is available by request: reach out on Instagram or X (@BarlaPost) or by email to ersin@barlapost.com and we'll set you up.

The limits are on by the day Pro goes on sale in the stores, not before. Until then, everything works as it always has.

Also in 1.1.0

  • **Mastodon visibility and content warnings.** You can now set a Mastodon post to Public, Unlisted, Followers Only, or Direct, and add a content warning (spoiler text). The character counter subtracts the warning's length from the Mastodon count.
  • **Post tags.** Tags you add to a post go to YouTube as video tags and to DEV.to as article tags. Other platforms ignore them.
  • **Internal notes.** A private note field on each post, visible only to you, never sent to any platform.
  • **Media library.** The media picker now has a library tab. Star any uploaded photo to find it again. You can edit alt text at any time from the library.
  • **Analytics: "Post again".** Tapping a post in Stats now offers a "Post again" button that opens the composer with a copy of the caption and media, ready to schedule to new platforms or a different time.
  • **Saved replies.** Keep a list of canned replies for the inbox: greetings, thank-yous, FAQs. One tap fills the reply field.
  • **Unsplash photos.** Search Unsplash from the media picker and import up to four photos into a post without leaving the app.
  • **Share sheet and home screen shortcut.** Share a link or text from any app on your phone and it opens the BarlaPost composer. A home screen shortcut takes you straight to a new post. Both land you in the composer; if you are not signed in yet, the content waits until you are.
  • **YouTube cover from a video frame.** When a post includes a YouTube target, you can pick any frame from the video as the custom thumbnail — the app shows a strip of eight frames and saves the one you tap.
  • **AI assistants.** BarlaPost exposes an MCP endpoint so AI assistants can create and publish posts on your behalf, against accounts you have connected. Owner and admin accounts can issue agent API keys from the Settings screen.
